New Eyes Receives $8,000 Grant from the Delta Gamma Foundation
Short Hills, NJ –In March 2025, New Eyes (for the Needy) was honored to receive an $8,000 grant from the Delta Gamma Foundation. This generous funding will provide the simple yet life-changing gift of prescription eyeglasses to 333 low-income children and adults across the United States. At just $25 per pair with our optical program, every dollar directly transforms a life—and this gift will do so hundreds of times over.
What Clear Vision Really Means
For someone struggling to make ends meet, prescription eyeglasses are often considered a luxury rather than a basic necessity. Yet, seeing clearly can change everything:
Children can read the board, focus on homework, and gain the confidence to succeed in school.
Adults can secure better employment, maintain independence, and safely perform everyday tasks.
Seniors can navigate their world more safely, stay engaged, and preserve their dignity.
For the 333 individuals who will receive eyeglasses because of this grant, clear vision means restored opportunities. It means being able to learn, work, care for loved ones, and fully participate in life.
A Partnership Rooted in Service
Delta Gamma’s motto, “Do Good,” shines brightly through its philanthropy. Since 2008, the Delta Gamma Foundation has worked alongside New Eyes to bring the gift of sight to thousands who otherwise could not afford glasses. This long-standing support has strengthened our mission and directly changed lives each year.
We are deeply grateful to the Delta Gamma Foundation for its continued generosity, belief in our mission, and commitment to helping those in need see a clearer future.
Our Shared Vision
Together, the Delta Gamma Foundation and New Eyes are proving that something small—like a pair of eyeglasses—can spark extraordinary change. With gratitude and partnership, we look forward to helping even more children and adults move forward with clarity, dignity, and possibility.
