Bequests
You can leave a bequest to New Eyes in your will or trust, allowing you to make a significant impact without affecting your current finances. A bequest can specify an amount, percentage, or residue of your estate. The following is a sample paragraph that can be included in your will:
“I bequeath to New Eyes for the Needy, a non-profit organization located at 830 Morris Tpke, Suite 401, Short Hills, NJ 07078, the following [percentage of estate, specific amount, or description of property] to be used to support their mission of providing eyeglasses to those in need in the U.S. New Eyes for the Needy’s Tax Identification Number is 22-1539720.”
This wording allows you to specify a percentage, fixed amount, or particular asset, making it flexible for your estate planning needs.
Retirement Plan Beneficiary Designation
You can name New Eyes as a beneficiary of your retirement plans, like IRAs or 401(k)s. This option offers potential tax advantages, as charitable organizations like New Eyes are tax-exempt.
Life Insurance Beneficiary Designation
You can name New Eyes as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy.
Charitable Gift Annuities (CGAs)
